Easily one of the most important PFDs we’ve ever designed, the PS Vest is Circular Ready*and sets the benchmark for sustainably focused PFDs. With the focussed use of a single material type and a ‘design to deconstruct’ ethos the PS Vest can be fully recycled at the end of its life. Made almost exclusively of polyester, the material can be reprocessed back into raw material ready for a new application.
Gear loops and zip pullers have been created from fabric off cuts eliminating the purchasing of ‘unnecessary’ plastic components. The flotation foam throughout the PFD is accessible, to give the option of replacing it, reusing it again, and to increase the ease of processing the item for recycling at the end of its workable life.
Based on the Marathon Vest cut, the PS Vest is designed for paddlers looking for a low profile, easy fitting, high performance PFD, with plenty of storage. The front pocket is large enough to fit all the items you might need close at hand for a trip on the water, attached safely to the internal fabric gear loop. Perfect for all paddlesports including touring, racing and paddleboarding.

Het PS-vest is zonder meer een van de belangrijkste reddingsvesten die we ooit hebben ontworpen. Het is ‘Circular Ready’* en zet de norm voor reddingsvesten waarbij duurzaamheid centraal staat. Door het gerichte gebruik van één enkel materiaalsoort en een ‘design to deconstruct’-filosofie kan het PS Vest aan het einde van zijn levensduur volledig worden gerecycled. Het materiaal bestaat bijna uitsluitend uit polyester en kan worden herverwerkt tot grondstof, klaar voor een nieuwe toepassing.
Uitrustingslussen en ritssluitingen zijn gemaakt van restanten van de stof, waardoor de aankoop van ‘onnodige’ plastic onderdelen overbodig is. Het drijfschuim in het hele reddingsvest is toegankelijk, zodat het kan worden vervangen of hergebruikt en het product aan het einde van zijn levensduur gemakkelijker kan worden verwerkt voor recycling.
Het PS-vest is gebaseerd op het model van het Marathon-vest en is ontworpen voor peddelaars die op zoek zijn naar een onopvallend, comfortabel zittend en hoogwaardig reddingsvest met veel opbergruimte. Het voorvak is groot genoeg voor alle spullen die je tijdens een tocht op het water binnen handbereik wilt hebben, en is veilig bevestigd aan de interne stoffen uitrustingslus. Perfect voor alle peddelsporten, waaronder toertochten, wedstrijden en paddleboarden.
